and mentorship.

We want every intern to leave with real-world experience that connects classroom learning to meaningful work. Our experienced managers will guide and expose you to multiple parts of our business.

Curiosity, connection, and collaboration.

You’ll learn about various departments, teams, and initiatives across KeHE. If you raise your hand to explore something new, we’ll help you connect with the right people to make it happen.

FAQs:

Our program is offered each summer from early June to mid-August.

Our program largely targets rising seniors in their undergraduate career, as well as graduate students who are between their first and second years of school. We occasionally will hire rising juniors and recent graduates into internships.

Most of our corporate/commercial internships take place on site at our headquarters in Naperville, IL. We also offer warehouse operations–focused internships at some of our 16 distribution centers across the U.S.

We do not. We expect our interns to immerse themselves in the KeHE culture on site for corporate/commercial roles from Tuesday through Thursdays. Warehouse operations internships take place on site at our distribution centers.

Our interns make $24/hour.

At this time, KeHE does not provide housing stipends. We can, however, connect interns to housing availabilities on local college campuses.

Our interns work on what we like to call "projects with purpose." As an intern, you'll collaborate within an assigned team on projects that directly contribute to your team achieving specified goals and objectives. You won't be picking up coffee orders—you will be playing a key role on your team from your first day to your last!

Yes! We view our internship program as a feeder for entry-level roles at KeHE for recent college graduates. It depends on how you perform during the program. At the end of your internship, your manager may present you with a letter of intent that outlines steps to becoming a full-time employee.

Above all else, KeHE values curiosity in our internship candidates. While we take your major degree and GPA into account, we are more interested in how you demonstrate a problem-solving mentality. We don't expect you to know exactly what you want to do with your career, but we do expect you to show up each day with a desire to learn.

Are you a rising senior who wants to apply?
